MAGICA VISIONE

On the occasion of the Ortogiardino exhibition, the Magica Visione project was created.

The power of a fervent imagination is the main component of every magical operation (Paracelsus).

This is how Paracelsus, a doctor-alchemist and astrologer, defined magic. The magician’s aim is to learn to manage the subtle forces that pass through the Universe and to channel them towards a specific objective, just as a director recreates places, settings and memories: Redesigning a place, a space and a time in which the spectator, through sight, accesses memories and Magical Experiences.

The project draws inspiration from a work by the Neapolitan artist Serino and from the film “The Fault in Our Stars” (Josh Boone, 2014), recreating the setting of the “Vondelpark”, a symbolic place in the film. The tour route winds along an avenue at the center of which is the beating heart of the staging, a privileged point from which to admire the entire creation. On one side, the lake basin, in memory of the canals of Amsterdam, while on the opposite side, the famous kissing bench, a place nestled among some plants, which will transport many to magical memories not entirely dormant or to future desires so longed for.

The plants chosen are Malus “Coccinella”, Pennisetum alopecuroides, Deutzia elegantissima “Rosealind”, Syringa vulgaris spp., Penstemon “Apple Blossom”, Penstemon ‘Hidcote Pink’, Phlox “Eizabeth Arden”, Phlox ‘Dodo Hanbury’, Salix babylonica, Dicentra spectabilis, Viola labradorica.
